Modri Pinot is a waggish variety, but a real challenge for wine producers. Its colour is medium intense ruby red with purple reflections. The pleasant, peaceful scent of red fruits, especially raspberries combined with fresh brushwood and the strewing of ferns suggests still youthful scent, but with the presence of slightly stewed venison and smoked meat products it is ready for quality ageing. It is dry in the mouth with mild acids and tannins with nicely rounded body of soft and velvety texture. Lively piquant in a long after taste it is perfectly balanced with the introductory fruitiness. It functions as an elegant and alluring wine.
with fish with pronounced flavor (salmon, tuna, swordfish), sushi, noodles with shellfish and mushrooms (maremonti), numerous composite dishes typical for the Asian and especially Chinese cuisine (char-siew, Dim Sum), damped beef, partridge, roast pork in wine sauce, grilled meat and vegetables, potato Moussaka. Serve at 14°C.
